Chris Aguilar Garcia

Conference & Program Manager

As Conference & Program Manager, Chris is the lead organizer and programmer of the Scholar & Alumni Leadership Conference and the Regional Leadership Forums.   He additionally works throughout the year with the Alumni, Mentoring, and Internship Subcommittees. Chris joined Point as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager in April 2010, after a diverse career in entertainment, nonprofit and finance. As the lead assistant to independent film producer Andrea Sperling, he worked on the feature films Sympathy for Delicious (Mark Ruffalo's directorial debut and Special Jury Prize winner at Sundance 2010), Kaboom,The Quiet, and Harsh Times. Chris was also the Office Manager in the Los Angeles office of GLAAD and the Operations Manager at Moviola Digital Education Center in Hollywood.

An avid music fan, Chris did a stint as a video editor for Prince at the artist's legendary recording complex, Paisley Park. He loves concerts, sewing, reading music and Jacqueline Kennedy biographies, and watching Spanish-language movies.

Point offers mentorship, leadership development and community service training to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) students.
