Chris Boyle is the Assistant Head of School and Academic Dean of the North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois. Previously, Chris worked for a dozen years in the world of undergraduate college admission and for six years as the Co-Director of College Counseling at North Shore Country Day. During these years, he also served in a number of roles with related professional organizations including serving as a member of the Illinois Association for College Counseling’s Executive Board and the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s National Assembly. In his current role, Chris works with the School’s faculty to further enrich the academic curriculum and programming. As well, he is charged with moving forward a number of the School’s strategic initiatives. His B.A. is from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
Originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Chris grew up surrounded by homophobia but was born into a family that has embraced him openly since he came out. Now a very happy Chicagoan, Chris works to support the efforts of a number of local organizations related to education, the arts, and equal rights for all.
Chris initially became a part of the Point Foundation community in 2005 through former Point Board Member Ronna Stamm. After a number of years working with the Scholar Selection Committee, Chris joined the Board of Trustees in 2008 and the Board of Regents in 2011. He now chairs the Scholar Selection Committee.
