Point Foundation held its inaugural New York Cornerstone Reception on November 7, 2011. Hosted by Google at their Chelsea Market offices, over 150 guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails and appetizers while hearing from new Point Scholar Derrick Miller-Handley and Alumna Ellen Adams about their Point Foundation experiences. Point Regional Trustee Jonah Trout; the Co-Chair of Point's Board of Directors Shelley Fischel; Point Managing Director of Development Michael Marino, and James Cote of Google addressed the evening's guests. We were also honored to welcome the family of Tyler Clementi as our guests for the evening. Point Scholar Derrick Miller-Handley is the recipient of the Tyler Clementi Point Scholarship.
The New York Cornerstone event grossed more than $40,000. Congratulations to the New York Host Committee for their execution of a successful inaugural event for Point.
