Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society.
Point Foundation held its third annual Seattle Cornerstone event on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Sole Repair Shop. An intimate group of nearly 50 guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails as they heard from Point Scholar Rachel Jackson who shared her compelling story about her experience with Point Foundation. Other scholar and alumni in attendance included Nicole Robert and Trustee and alumnus Jesse Gilliam. Guests also heard from Point's Executive Director & CEO, Jorge Valencia who spoke in depth about the ever growing and strengthening state of Point Foundation.
Under the direction of Board of Directors Member, Kelli Smith-Bailey and Trustee Jesse Gilliam, the Seattle Cornerstone raised more than $68,000! Special Thanks goes to Kelli Smith Bailey, Jesse Gilliam, John & Cristi Ludwig, and the sponsors for another successful Point Cornerstone event in Seattle!
