Rohan A. S. Barrett

Rohan graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with College Honors in 2006 from the University of IL-Chicago. He graduated with a BA in Political Science, International Relations and Gender Studies. He later earned a masters degree from the European-American University Consortium - an eight member group of European and American universities administed by the University of Bath (UK). Rohan moved back to the Midwest after graduating to begin a nonprofit fundraising career with Mikva Challenge (www.mikvachallenge.org), a civic engagement organization in Chicago. After serving as the Director of Development at the Goodman Community Center (www.goodmancenter.org) in Madison, Wisconsin, Rohan relocated to Chicago in 2014 Illinois after accepting a position as Associate Director of Major Gifts for Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. In his new role, he will spend most of his time at Northwestern’s downtown campus closing six and seven figure gifts to support blood cancer research and dermatology. After five years of fundraising, 180 hours of continuing education and several years of community service, he has also become a certified fundraising executive (CFRE). Rohan serves on the Board of the Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE).
