Shaun Kasperbauer

Point Scholar 2007 – 2011

Shaun grew up in a small, conservative town in rural Iowa. Despite living in a less than ideal environment for a young gay man, Shaun excelled in academics, the arts, and a variety of extracurricular activities.  After graduating high school, he moved to New York City to study at Parsons School of Design. Shaun received a BFA in Product Design from Parsons and then, with two of his classmates, he started a design and manufacturing company called Souda.

Shaun currently lives in Brooklyn, NY designing furniture, lighting, and home decor for Souda.
