Jennifer Barbetta

Jennifer is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs.  She acts as the chief operating officer for the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection businesses, which include the Private Equity Group, Hedge Fund Strategies and Global Multi-Manager Strategies within the Investment Management Division (IMD). Jennifer also works with the Global Portfolio Solutions business which focuses on customized asset allocation, risk management, portfolio construction and advisory solutions for institutional investors. 

She previously acted as the chief operating officer in the Private Equity Group from 2003 to 2005, having joined the Private Equity Group in 1997.  Jennifer joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst and was named Managing Director in 2006.  She serves on various IMD Divisional Committees and is an advisor to the firm wide LGBT Network. 

Jennifer earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University where she was a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar. She lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her wife, Victoria, and their son.
