Jennifer Hatch

Jennifer Hatch is the President of Christopher Street Financial, the nation’s oldest life and wealth management firm dedicated to serving the needs of the LGBT community. Jen has over 25 years of experience on Wall Street, including 13 years as a financial planner for individuals, couples and families. She began her investment career at JP Morgan, and then worked at Bear Stearns, where she specialized in advising institutional investors about high-yield bonds and later equities. She also served as a member of Bear’s prestigious stock selection committee.

In 1997, she purchased Christopher Street Financial from the estate of the firm’s founder. Christopher Street is looking forward to celebrating its 30-year anniversary next year; since 1981, the firm has specialized in the unique financial issues of gays and lesbians, and the needs of multi-generational investors. In addition to developing solutions to the financial dilemmas of her clients, Jen manages Christopher Street’s team of professionals who provide tax, estate, and financial planning services.

Jen has a B.A. with Honors in Political Science from the State University of New York at Purchase where she graduated first in her class.

Jen has received recognition and honors from numerous organizations, including:

- Out Magazine’s OUT 100 identifying “the year’s most influential, important and interesting people”
- Manhattan Borough President’s Proclamation for being a “visionary leader in the campaign to build and demonstrate LGBT economic power and entrepreneurial savvy”
- SAGE Award for her community service from SAGE USA (Services and Advocacy for - Gay and Lesbian Elders) for her “pioneering work helping same-sex couples navigate the legal and tax world”
- Stonewall Community Foundation “Women of 2008” Award for Community Action and Leadership.
