Which community college are you currently attending?

San Diego City College

Which program are you pursuing and what about the subject intrigues you most?

Chicanx Studies and Gender Studies

What are your education and career aspirations?

I hope to attend law school one day and become a Civil Rights attorney.

What is a fun fact about you that few people know?

I’m double-jointed and I have an amazing memory. I’ll most likely remember every detail about you.

What is your favorite book/movie/song and why?

Cranes in the Sky by Solange because it was there for me when I truly needed it.

What is your current favorite streaming binge and why?

Pose on FX because it captures the sad realities the LGBTQIA+ community went through in the 80's and ballroom culture makes me feel full inside.

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy fashion, sewing, and thrifting for fabric.

How are you practicing self-care during this difficult time?

I am prioritizing my sleep because I know I can perform my best at work and school if I am energized.

How are you adjusting to remote life and what are your tips to stay motivated?

I make a schedule for myself and block out times in my week to do homework, study and watch lectures.

As a Point Community College Scholarship Recipient, what is your message to other LGBTQ+ students?

Always know your worth and that you deserve happiness and success.
