Just like the hard work done by Point Foundation’s scholarship recipients, we can all take action to make sure our intersectional communities remain thriving, passionate, active, and safe from threat. By participating in a #ScholarlyAction, such as calling your representatives to voice your support for Dreamers, attending a march for gun control, or simply reading an article to educate yourself on the dangers of limiting trans rights, you are contributing to the greater mission of fighting the injustices our communities face.
On May 23, follow Point on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr for plenty #ScholarlyAction suggestions you can participate in. We will be sharing motivational stories and projects from our scholarship recipients and alumni, as well as actions you can take that contribute to the causes Point supports, such as education, immigration laws, trans rights, and more. (Find more examples here!)
You can share your participation with us by tagging @pointfoundation and using the hashtag #ScholarlyAction, or you can reply to our posts telling us about your contribution. What constitutes a #ScholarlyAction is up to you – you have the freedom to get creative with your activism! Pick your favorite way to get involved, spread the word to folks you know, and join us in taking action to improve our world.
Check out #ScholarlyAction on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr.
