Fall Virtual Showcase
October is LGBTQ History Month, and Point is honoring the contributions and study of LGBTQ pasts with our Fall Scholar Showcase. Join Point Scholars Kirin Gupta, Xoë Sazzle, and Tyler McDougald for a discussion about LGBTQ history, their decision to study the past, and the lessons they’ve learned from the LGBTQ leaders who came before us.
About the Program
Kirin is a combined JD/PhD Scholar of International Law and Legal History at Harvard University, where she studies gender and rebellion in the former British Empire. Tyler is a History and English major at Clemson University, the founder of the Clemson Rainbow Fellowship, and Point’s first Scholar attending school in South Carolina. Xoë is a Women’s and Gender Studies major at Columbia University and a leader for LGBTQ rights in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago.
