Ammo Rayne is a transgender and pansexual father of three. He is a writer, makeup artist, and photographer with a passion for bringing unity and self-acceptance to the LGBTQ+ community. He has committed himself to utilizing the arts to assist community members in their self-exploration. Through an understanding of sociology, gender and sexuality studies, as well as personal experience, he seeks to encourage and uplift those who lack support. His background is ultra conservative Appalachia, and his own coming out was rife with turmoil and negative experiences. He has experienced housing and job discrimination, homelessness, and abuse, but that did not deter him. He pushed forward, continuing his education and achieving a place in Phi Theta Kappa. He believes these experiences have given him a platform to uplift others and hopes to publish both his autobiography as well as a book of poetry that explores these heavy topics in the near future. His goal is to build up his generation so that they might leave a legacy of peace, strength, and safety for their childrens’ generation, and those that follow after.
