Meet Our Scholars

Andres Larios
University of California, Berkeley
Political Science and Latin American Languages
He/Him
BIPOC
Andres is passionate about helping others in any capacity he can. He has traveled to Washington D.C. with the University of California DC program, where he worked for a Latin American human rights nonprofit, and traveled to Madrid, where he learned about a new culture and how it relates to his worldview. He has worked to support queer spaces where Black, Indigenous, and People of Color feel safe on his home campus of the University of California, Berkeley, and working to be visible for other queer students to feel comfortable to find support in him. He enjoys traveling, as might be inferred from above, and photography with his relatively new DSLR camera. Andres loves running and exercising as a means to destress, as well as taking random adventures on public transportation to meet new people he can hopefully learn from. He hopes to continue his studies through a doctorate, possibly on the same topic as his political science honors thesis, as well as continue to learn from new cultures with a planned trip to study abroad in Rio de Janeiro.
