Austin has begun to work with his hometown LGBTQ organizations to develop new youth programs that not only educate the LGBTQ community but raising overall awareness of LGBTQ issues. He also partnered with a local business owner to amplify why LGBTQ people must act and vote for representation that serves the needs of the LGBTQ community in government. He is hosting a registration night in July allowing the community to be educated, able to register for the 2020 election, and have fun at the same time. He is currently in school to become a high school English teacher, believing that youth need diverse role models to aid in educating on issues in our communities.

Austin wants to continue expanding his education and receive a degree in non-profit management. He strongly believes non-profit programs are vital to low-income communities. As data shows a great number of LGBTQ members are in the low-income spectrum due to not having support and left to fend for themselves. Austin feels it is crucial to improve the future of our LGBTQ youth because they will continue to create the path for coming generations in the LGBTQ community. Facing and overcoming bigotry in his life has played a significant role in his success today. He wants to continue being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, to be a role model, and help others to become confident in using their own voices.
