Brennan Peters graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with degrees and departmental honors in both Psychology and English with a Film and Digital Media concentration. While attending Loyola, Brennan wrote and directed her first feature, Perry & Emile, which went on to screen at festivals and win several awards, including a Jury Prize at the New Orleans Film Festival.

She has since completed the MFA program in Screenwriting at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where her feature screenplay, House of Wisdom, won the Alfred P. Sloan Screenplay Awards, and her pilot, The Empress, was an AFI nominee for the Humanitas Drama Fellowship. She is currently a working screenwriter and filmmaker and remains wholeheartedly dedicated to the authentic portrayal of commonly underrepresented and misrepresented minorities, including women and the LGBTQ population.
