"Now what would Cienna do?"
Well, firstly, she centers her peace of mind. If it doesn't contribute to her growth, then it doesn't align with her purpose. A big passion of hers is to give, especially to people who reflect her. That is why she created a peer-mentoring program for TRIO students, so low-income and first-generation students are provided resources to thrive. If it wasn't for the love and support provided by her community, Cienna would not be where she is. This is why she feels it is essential to work as an educator. She wants to be actively involved within her community, and through academia, she can impact the lives of many Black and brown youth.
