Crys O’Grady, J.D., is an enrolled member of the Monacan Indian Nation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in poverty and inequality from Stanford University, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law with support from the Point Foundation Scholarship. After law school, she went on to work with the National Indian Child Welfare Association and worked on policy issues related to strengthening the implementation of the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978 and then to early childhood policy for the City of Pasadena. Currently, Crys is an Operations and Policy Analyst and the Child Care and Development Fund Administrator for the State of Oregon. One of Crys’s passions is bringing innovation and equity to policy development, implementation, and government infrastructure.
