Dafne Arellano Villegas is a brown Pansexual Chicana who was born in San Diego, California. Dafne’s immigrant mother from Mexico raised her three daughters as a single woman who worked two full time jobs as a waitress. Given the circumstances, Dafne grew in poverty and constantly moved around San Diego. The most stability Dafne has experienced is at San Diego City College, where she currently attends, and has a support system for students who grew up just like her that motivate her to use her story for change called the Puente Program. With the help of this program Dafne has thrived and plans to transfer to a four-year university to earn a degree in Ethnic Studies with a minor in Gender Studies. She hopes to attend Law School to become a civil rights lawyer. Her ultimate dream is to work at the ACLU as a Civil Rights Attorney.
