Community College

Daniel Trovato has always dreamed big, but throughout his academic career, he has begun to dream even bigger. Daniel found his passion for research and academia as a researcher at Johns Hopkins University in the summer of 2018. He is grateful for the guidance from professors at the Community College of Baltimore County, Dr. Melissa Lane and Dr. Cheryl Scott, as well as the Johns Hopkins Director of Undergraduate Research Dr. Natalie Strobach. Daniel believes she saw something in him that he did not: potential. Daniel aspires to earn a PhD in criminology for the betterment of his community, and to be the first PhD recipient in his family. He plans to come up with suitable ways to resolve the issues plaguing the city of Baltimore. Daniel hopes to better his community and be an inspiration to all who have been oppressed growing up and did not know what to do.
