Elise Oleksiak is a sober pansexual woman living in Brooklyn, NYC and attending LaGuardia Community College in Queens. For years she worked in Film/TV as a commercial video editor, while suffering from debilitating depression and addiction. In 2015, Elise found sobriety and began doing volunteer work in the city by helping children with autism train for a 5K, and she found that the combination of working with children and physical fitness was her true calling. She is now over 3 years sober, has spent a year teaching kids to surf and do yoga in Central America, and is now back in NYC pursuing her dream of becoming a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She recently had open heart surgery and went on to become a NASM-certified personal trainer just a few months later, making a full recovery and setting personal records for her own physical fitness. One day at a time, she hopes to make the world around her a better place by helping people heal through exercise and movement.
