Emilio Antonio Valladolid is a transgender, nonbinary, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, Mexican, first-generation college student at Southwestern Community College. Emilio also serves as a Youth Advisory Board member to the National Center for Youth Law and does various intersectional work within their greater community. They are passionate about bridging inequities, such as disparities in sexual reproductive health, LGBTQ competency, racial and disability justice, and dismantling systems of oppression. They believe their lived experience as an individual within these marginalized communities helps them bring a valuable perspective to the table, while their passion to create safe, accessible, and inclusive support for young people drives their dedication to advocacy. Emilio hopes to graduate from Southwestern and transfer to San Diego State University to complete a bachelors in Psychology and one in Sociology. They are committed to being a lifelong learner and fighting for what’s right.
