Hope was born in Los Angeles to a loving family. Her grandmother Dorothy took full custody of her moments after she was born. She taught Hope the importance of having faith and a relationship with God, and Hope valued these moral lessons. Starting school before the age of two, Hope was closely monitored by the school district. In high school, Hope was elected secretary of the Black Student Union and had much success playing sports. While in college, she felt comfortable enough to express her sexuality to her family. After being threatened, verbally abused, abandoned and attacked, Hope fell into a deep state of depression. Today, however, despite many obstacles, she is now in full pursuit to becoming a psychologist with dreams of one day working with children and writing books.
