Writer-Director Julian Breece is a graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor of Art degree in 2003 and USC's Graduate School or Cinema-Television with a Masters of Fine Arts degree in 2005. His debut short, The Young & Evil, received grants from Panavision, The Reginald F. Lewis Foundation and the Frameline Completion Fund. The film has screened at major festivals around the world and was an Official Selection of the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Julian's first feature screenplay Ball won a Slamdance Feature Screenplay Award and went on to become a 2007 Finalist for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. Featured in IndieWIRE as a young 'filmmakers to watch,' Julian is the Co-Founder of Game Theory Films, a production company launched with his producing partner, Aaliyah Williams. A Film Independent Project: Involve Fellow; Julian directed his first feature, Heartland, in 2009. Julian continues his filmmaking career today.
