Kieran Marshall is a 26 year old returning student working his way toward a degree in mortuary science. Raised in a conservative Evangelical home in rural Michigan, he’s fought tooth and nail for the life he now inhabits, and dreams of a world where all children are heard and valued as their true selves. As a trans person, he is profoundly aware of the historical ways in which the American funeral industry has failed to serve the LGBTQ community. He seeks to disrupt this by providing compassionate death care that honors trans and queer people as we deserve in both life and death. When not in class, Kieran works as a personal care assistant and plays music whenever possible. He shares a Chicago studio apartment with two cats and six tarantulas.
