Lindsey Washington graduated from Loyola Marymount University, where she earned a bachelor's in liberal studies (elementary education). After graduating from Loyola Marymount, she served as a kindergarten teacher and mentor teacher in the underserved community of Compton. In her role as a classroom teacher, she realized the desperate need for culturally responsive mental health services for children. She developed a desire to serve the community in a more hands-on role as a therapist. Lindsey is currently completing her master's degree in the marital and family therapy program at California State University, Dominguez Hills, while also serving the community by providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health services to children ages 0-5 and families. She also works alongside and advocates for community college students who are experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Her soul's purpose is to remain community-oriented and use therapy of liberation for BIPOC and queer folks in her community.
