Luis Fernando Sanchez was born in Michoacan, Mexico in 1989. He is the fourth of five children. Since he was a kid, he knew he was different in every way but also was outgoing and friendly. He was a straight-A student through elementary and middle school and was passionate about reading. When he turned 18, he moved to the United States by himself. Not knowing the language, he faced several challenges while communicating with others, but that was the spark that made him want to learn and speak English.
Luis came out as gay when he was 18 and even though his family had no major issue with him being gay, it was a whole different story outside in society. In Los Angeles, he met a group of friends who empowered him and helped him to get an education.
He then volunteered with a nonprofit called Payasos LA, a group of friends raising funds for different causes such as Autism, AIDS, cancer, and more.
He now works in a casino and is interested in finishing his degree to contribute more to society and achieve a better quality of life.
