Meet Our Scholars

Mal Sotelo has a burning desire to make a difference in the world. They love tutoring, playing soccer, reading, and writing poetry. Mal competed in speech and debate for three years and was a state qualifier in informative speaking.

Mal has three brothers and three sisters, which is one of the reasons they love tutoring and peer teaching. Mal wants to be a high school math or English teacher in order to share their passion for learning.

They hope to one day work with underprivileged students to help them get the best education possible in order to pursue their own dreams.
