Noel Gordon (he/him) is the firstborn son of immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean. A Point Foundation Scholar since 2012, Noel has nearly 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, having held various leadership, strategy, finance, and operations management positions over the course of his career. Noel is currently the chief financial officer of an all-black, multi-million-dollar nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to this, Noel served as Development Director for a political campaign that would have expunged criminal records for every Minnesotan harmed by the racist War on Drugs. Noel has served on multiple nonprofit boards since 2012 and has helped raise over $3 million for various progressive issues and causes, like the global HIV and AIDS epidemic. Noel earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan, and he holds a master’s degree in business administration and public policy from the University of Minnesota. Noel was born in Brooklyn, New York but has plans to run for office in his adopted hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada sometime in the near future.
