Oliver Stabbe

University of Rochester

American Sign Language / Psychology

He/Him/His or They/Them/Theirs

Flagship

Oliver is studying brain and cognitive sciences, psychology, and American Sign Language at the University of Rochester. Raised in Washington, D.C., Oliver had inadequate exposure to LGBTQ-relevant education. When he realized he was transgender as a young teen, Oliver struggled with finding information that would help in discovering and supporting his identity. Oliver realized that in an age where the availability of information is so largely based on environment, disability, race, gender identity, sexual identity, income, and other identities that have minority statuses, accessibility can drastically improve a person’s life. Since then, Oliver has committed himself to researching and advocating for amelioration of avoidable social disparities. With Point's support, he will be able to continue his lifetime commitment to curiosity and rabble-rousing.
