Renia is a Cincinnati native studying elementary education with an intent to minor in history. She is eager to represent little Black and brown kids throughout their most formative years. In high school, she was a member of Black Girls Prosper, a club aimed to uplift and support Black women. She was also a member of the Youth Philanthropy Council and fundraised around three thousand dollars for Prokids, a nonprofit aimed to aid marginalized children in the foster care system. Last summer, Renia was a summer intern for a local early development center. She was the student teacher and was tasked with anticipating the needs of her students. Upon graduation, she intends to serve in an urban school district and support marginalized communities in public schools. In her free time, she can be found reading, baking, and listening to music.
