Rodrigo Mendez was born in Miami, Florida. Both of Rigo’s parents are immigrants; his mother is from Dominican Republic and his father is from Colombia. Rigo is a student at Palm Beach State College studying Psychology. He aspires to work in clinical and art therapy to help LGBTQ people of color of all ages. Rigo enjoys swimming and Jiu Jitsu. His favorite forms of art are theater, film, and literature. Rigo volunteers for art museums, activities for his community, and at the local LGBT center.
