Broward LEADS Scholarship
I am currently enrolled at Miami Dade College to get my RN in the field of nursing. I have recently obtained my LPN license which was my biggest accomplishment in my life. This scholarship will allow me to achieve many life goals of mine by allowing me to continue my education at Miami Dade college in order to do the LPN-RN program. As a minority, I am not presented with opportunities as others and it only gives me more reason not to quit. Therefore, it’s my mission goal to get my college education and give back to those who have had challenges such as myself. I believe I put others before myself, for instance the time I cared for my grandmother after she received a double knee arthroplasty while she couldn’t care for herself by not being able to do her activities of daily living. I will constantly sacrifice my life by doing whatever is possible in order to help others. I am honored to present that I am a part of the Point Foundation community and can’t wait to see what is in stored.
