Yve Laris Cohen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in dance & performance studies and art practice.
He received an MFA in visual arts from Columbia University in 2011. As a youth, Yve worked with organizations including GLSEN, Gay-Straight Alliance Network, and IMPACT, a project of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). Yve currently lives in Brooklyn and organizes with Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ). Yve’s work was included in the 2014 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
