Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho Miami-Dade County Public Schools

Alberto M. Carvalho has served as Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the nation’s fourth largest school system, since September 2008. He is a nationally recognized expert on education transformation, finance, and leadership development. We are pleased to be awarding him with this year's Miami Minerva Award for his leadership among and commitment to the Miami area LGBTQ community and Point Foundation's scholars and mission.
