Point Foundation acknowledges the importance of protecting the privacy of all visitors to the Point Foundation website and all scholarship applicants. The information we collect is used to improve the services we offer, to improve our website’s content, security, and user experience, and, with your permission, to contact you with updates to our website or other scholarship and donor information. However, Point Foundation will not distribute, share, sell or rent any information or data obtained on this site or Point Foundation online application website with any other company or marketing group external to Point Foundation’s activities. Nor will Point Foundation distribute, share, sell or rent any information that may be obtained by mail as it relates to the application process for potential Point Scholars with any other company or marketing group external to Point Foundation’s activities.
Point Foundation may provide aggregate statistics about Point Foundation website users, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-parties for potential fundraising efforts. Such statistical information will not include personally identifying information, with the exception of personal information of actual Point Scholars (who have been awarded scholarships) whereby permission has been granted by such Point Scholars.
DONOR PRIVACY POLICY
Point Foundation will not share or sell a donor’s personal information with any other company or marketing group external to Point Foundation’s activities, nor send donor solicitation mailings on behalf of other organizations.
SCHOLAR PRIVACY POLICY
Point Foundation will not share or sell a scholar’s personal information with any other company or marketing group external to Point Foundation’s activities without explicit consent by the scholar.
Point Foundation SMS Marketing Terms of Service
Program Description Point Foundation operates an SMS messaging program ("Program") to communicate with supporters, event registrants, scholars, and community members about organizational updates, scholarship opportunities, event information, and marketing messages related to Point Foundation's mission and programs.
Consent to Receive SMS Messages By providing your mobile phone number and checking the opt-in box on our registration or contact forms, you expressly consent to receive recurring SMS and MMS text messages from Point Foundation at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of attendance at any Point Foundation event, including the National Leadership Conference, or of receiving any service from Point Foundation.
Message Frequency Message frequency varies based on your engagement and program enrollment. You may receive messages related to event updates, program announcements, scholarship information, and other organizational communications.
Rates Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your text plan or data plan.
Opt-Out Instructions You may cancel your participation in the SMS Program at any time. Reply STOP to any message from Point Foundation to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation message and will receive no further SMS messages from Point Foundation. To re-enroll, submit your phone number again through any of our registration forms.

Carrier Limitation Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your Representations By providing your phone number, you confirm that: (a) you are the account holder or are authorized to consent on behalf of the account holder for the phone number provided; and (b) you are authorized to receive calls and messages at that number. You agree to notify Point Foundation promptly if you change or discontinue use of the phone number provided.
No Sale or Sharing of Mobile Data Point Foundation will not sell, rent, share, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data is used solely to communicate with you as part of this Program.

Changes to These Terms Point Foundation reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the SMS Program following notice of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
FAQ
The Point Foundation web server uses an extended log file format which captures: date and time of visit, referred address (location from which a visitor comes to (pointfoundation.org) type of Internet browser, and visitor’s IP address. (Each computer that connects to the Internet is assigned a unique number, an IP Address, for identification purposes). The log file does not capture a visitor’s email address.
Additionally, when you make a contribution to Point online, your financial information is transmitted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). TLS is a proven coding system that lets your browser encrypt, or scramble, data before being sent to our payment processor.
Is personal information requested and how is the information used? 
There are currently two areas which ask for personal information. 1) Online application – This information is intended for the use of only the Point Foundation in the process of evaluating applications for potential scholarships to be awarded by Point Foundation. None of the information collected, either electronically or by mail, is shared with organizations external to Point Foundation. 2) Donor Records – Once a donation is made, in order to properly recognize donors and prepare the donor tax letters, the donor’s name, address, phone number and email address are added to Point’s donor record software. Point Foundation does not keep the donor’s credit card information on file.
