What We Do
Point Foundation Mission
Point provides financial support, leadership training, mentoring, and community to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) college students from around the world attending US-accredited educational institutions.
Point seeks to build community and springboard a new generation of LGBTQ leaders toward success. Point does this through scholarship financing, leadership development, mentorship, and community support, making it the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students.

How We Work
Point’s founders were successful individuals eager to help LGBTQ students attain a postsecondary education, as well leadership training, mentorship, and guidance that they had benefited from in their own professional careers. Since its inception in 2001, Point has sought the partnership of philanthropic individuals, corporations, and foundations to supply financial support, professional guidance and a network of contacts for our scholars.
