Scholarship Details

Amount: $2,400 per semester or $4,800 per academic year.

Funding Period: Fall 2024-Spring 2025.

The Scholarship: In addition to Point Foundation LGBTQ community and financial support, receive personalized learning and coaching from experienced Bumble and bumble stylists, colorists, and educators.

Eligibility & Requirements

Point Foundation and Bumble and bumble logos

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited community college or cosmetology school, or hair school in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.
  • Use scholarship funds at an accredited U.S. cosmetology or hair program between fall session 2024 and spring 2025.
  • Be enrolled or intend to enroll in an associate degree or cosmetology degree/certificate program.
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time throughout the academic year.
  • Must be “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal history and background.
  • Academic history and future plans.
  • Estimate of financial costs and support.
  • Community involvement and work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or leadership potential.

Support from Professional Hair Stylists

As a Point Foundation Bumble and Bumble scholarship recipient, you will receive financial support for your cosmetology school tuition, fees, and other costs. Point Scholars in this custom hair school program get support from the Bumble and bumble professional network so that you can gain more insights and experience in hair as you complete hair school.

Join with Bumble and bumble hair professionals and peers from around the country to learn about the hair and cosmetology industry.
