What college/university are you attending and what made you choose it?

I just started my senior year at Harvard College. I originally chose it because of the really exciting research opportunities it provides.

Which program are you pursuing and what about the subject intrigues you most?

I’m majoring in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. Stem cells are so fascinating because they give us the opportunity to understand fundamental biological processes while opening the door to exciting therapeutic options.

What are your career aspirations?

What is a fun fact about you that few people know?

I’ve never watched any of the Stars Wars films.

What is your favorite book/movie/song and why?

One of my favorite books is Jhumpa Lahiri’s Interpreter of Maladies because it’s a beautiful exploration of how we find footing in new environments.

What is your current favorite streaming binge?

Schitt’s Creek!

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

Anything outside! Running and hiking primarily.

How are you practicing self-care during this difficult time?

There have been two main things: (1) taking concerted time to check in on people in my life; (2) journaling.

How are you adjusting to remote life and what are your tips to stay motivated?

I’ve been breaking up my work into smaller bits and figuring out what time of day makes me feel most ready and excited to work (for me it’s mornings!).
