Point Foundation is proud to announce we’re making 1,000 LGBTQ+ and ally dreams come true!

Current LGBTQ+ and ally postsecondary students face increased challenges in the coming academic year. The costs of education are higher than ever.

Point works hard to ensure that LGBTQ+ and ally students can access and succeed in postsecondary education to become leaders in their lives, careers, and communities. We are committed to empowering the next generation of changemakers. Point programming is designed to provide LGBTQ+ and ally students across the country with opportunities to connect and build a lasting network of support that lasts long beyond graduation.

JT Huynh“[Point] has had a profound impact not only on my own academic journey but also on the ripple effect it creates through my work with other pre-medical students and our research that may one day benefit patients,” said JT, a TIAA Scholar studying medicine.

Jimena headshot"Receiving a Point scholarship has allowed me to make connections with other students who understand how it feels to be alienated. Together, we are building a future that welcomes all of us regardless of our sexuality, race, gender, class, and religion," said Jimena, an NBCUniversal Scholar studying cinematic arts.

Lukas-headshot“I am only able to attend university because of the funding I get from Point Foundation. Every single day when I am able to help people in my community, I owe a debt of gratitude to Point for enabling me to do that. Every day, I seek to give back to others in the way that this organization has given to me,” said Lukas, a FedEx Scholar studying Urban Studies & Planning.

Robyn Tomiko-1"Point has given me the opportunity to breathe a little easier financially, which frees a bit of my capacity to focus on my work....Point has also given me a place to explore conversations around LGBTQ experiences in a community that feels affirming and supportive," said Robyn, a Kevin Hummer Scholar earning a doctorate in education.
