Out in Higher Ed Week
What is Out in Higher Ed Week?
Out in Higher Ed Week is Point Foundation’s annual event highlighting LGBTQ+ and ally voices in higher education.
This year, we’re inviting our entire community—board members, scholars, alumni, educators, donors, and GSAs—to look forward, dream boldly, and shape the future of postsecondary education.
Every gift this week will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $12,000, thanks to Point Board of Trustees Member Celena Dyal and a generous anonymous donor!
What is Point Foundation?
Point Foundation supports the educational aspirations of LGBTQ+ and ally students to become impactful leaders in their lives, careers, and communities.

What do you want postsecondary education to look like in the years ahead?
“I envision higher education as a place where LGBTQ+ people are fully supported with the institutional resources needed to thrive as leaders, scholars, and change agents.”
"Having a dedicated space around campus for students would help with safety and meeting similar people. SGA's (Straight Gay Alliances) can help build a connection among students."
"In the future, I hope that students can work closely with faculty to forge their own learning path and ensure that curriculum is staying updated and relevant to current conversations within our social climate."
