Internship Program
Point’s Internship Program provides Point Scholars
with meaningful, professional-related work experience.
Academic preparation meets career aspirations
One of the key partners of Point’s internship program is The Palette Fund, which makes it possible for Point to provide stipends for scholars undertaking an internship. This support means that the LGBTQ community nonprofits where scholars are interning do not have to incur any costs for having a gifted student help them.
If you have paid internship opportunities that you would like to make available to Point Scholars, please contact Point’s Scholarship Programs Manager Emma Nuiry.
Scholar Internship Spotlight: Maggie Keenan-Bolger
Thanks to a grant from The Palette Fund, Point Alum Maggie Keenan-Bolger completed two internships with Green Chimneys during her time as a Point Scholar. During her second year, Maggie helped youth in the program with writing, producing and performing the play “Not Just Another Coming Out Story.”
