I biked with a group of 28 young adults from Baltimore, MD to Seattle, WA. The trip took 70 days and was 4,432 miles. We rode for The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, which supports young adults with cancer. Each rider committed to raising $4,500 (approximately a dollar for every mile) for the fund before the trip began. Each biker also dedicated their ride to family and friends who have been affected by cancer. I personally dedicated the ride to my childhood best friend's father who passed away two years ago due to a rare form of cancer that affects the spine. Along the way, we volunteered at chemo centers, hospitals, and even a summer camp for children with cancer run entirely by cancer survivors.

Some highlights of the trip were biking over the North Cascades, visiting the Badlands, and camping in Glacier National Park. This was definitely the most difficult physical and mental challenge I've encountered, but has certainly proven to be the most rewarding.
